Network analysis and comparative migration law: examples from the European Court of Human Rights

International migration law (IML) is famously fragmented, which provides fertile ground for comparative inquiry. However, this task inhibited the heterodox nature of IML as it draws on a composite body that expressed in different concepts, interpretations and languages. This paper presents network analysis one useful methodology navigating IML's normative architecture empirically mapping case its interrelations. Part I introduces data driven method representing relationship between variables legal network. II exemplifies empirical purchase European Court Human Rights' law. III suggests further added value arises by bringing into scope authoritative judicial practice across wider sets. IV concludes reflexively asking what unravelling web might reveal field always caught universalist relativist theoretical narratives.
